Biome is the main land ecosystem on earth that is influenced by climate. Biome is formed by interaction between climate factors (particularly temperature and humidity) and life. The naming of a biome is based on the shape and form of a community as a whole, most dominant species in community and characteristics of predominant plants. Between two biome are separated by a separator line eventhough the line is not clear. The separator line between biome is called ecotone. Ecotone is occupied by particular plant and animal.
Based
on that biome nomenclature, then there are nine kinds of biomes on Earth, that
is as follows:
- Tundra Biome
- Taiga Biome
- Falling forest Biome
- Tropical rain forest biome
- Meadow biome
- Desert biome
- Savanna biome
- Mangrove biome
- Moss forest biome
